Santo Tomas Internment Camp: Manila Prison Camp #1

Isabel Krebs will describe her childhood experience in a Japanese concentration camp during World War-II in Manilla. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

Captured when she was 7 and released after her 11th birthday, she presents a child's view of the prisoner experience as well as her adult analysis. Ridiculous as well as life threatening circumstances were not lost on the 500 children in Santo Tomas Internment Camp, aka Manila Prison Camp # 1, where they spent 3 years with 3300 adult prisoners.

Coffee, tea and pastries will be served.
